West Metro Issues Call for Volunteers

The West Metro Senior Softball Association needs volunteers to make the 2026 outdoor season successful. 

Pitching in on functions by the Board of Directors and various committees on a volunteer basis is described below and on the league website. Please review this notice and consider how you can help.

2026 Committees

COMPETITION: Tasks include forming teams, balancing them, reviewing rules, publishing various updates; recruiting. meeting and orienting new league members. Northwoods Division: Reiny Grasmick, Jack Meenan, Bruce Barringer, Mike Holm. National Division: John (Aldy) Aldritt, Roger Briese, Dave Pertl and John Hovde-board liaison. One member is needed for the National Division.

LUNCHEON: Duties include providing supplies such as plates and utensils, coordinating lunch sign-up, recruiting, and caring for the grill and roasting pans. The league reimburses those items, except for groups of players who are buying pizzas or grilling burgers, bratwursts, and hot dogs as part of their sign-up agenda. 

In addition, two or three persons are needed to provide beverages. Helping with the end-of-season picnic is also included. Present Committee: Chuck Salloway, John Hovde. Volunteers are needed from each division.

EQUIPMENT: Tasks include screen repair, monitoring and supplying fields with balls, buckets, bats, clipboards, roster sheets; shed management; maintenance and storage of equipment between domeball and outdoor fields. Present Committee members: Ron Gronfor, Tim Ives. Two volunteers needed.

WEB SITE: Duties include website management, understanding and modifying our TeamSideline site; making and managing schedules and teams on the website, team standings, working with the board on league communication and member accounts. Committee members: Tom Spitzer, Rick DeSchepper, Art Monzingo, Paul Palmer
